Parliamo di Vittorio Livi che nel '73 si trova nella sua vetreria, casualmente in piedi su uno sgabello di vetro; immortalata dal suo amico fotografo che era lì presente, la scena verrà pubblicata sui giornali. E' stato in quel momento che è nata l'intuizione: perchè non provare a costruire mobili in vetro? Dopo aver progettato i primi macchinari per la lavorazione del materiale, comincerà a trattarlo come un blocco di pietra da plasmare e dopo poco tempo darà vita anche alle prime collaborazioni con artisti e designers. Ogni prodotto Fiam è contrassegnato dal logo dell'azienda e da un codice che lo identifica e specifica quando, come e da chi è stato realizzato.
Sebbene sia un'azienda di medie dimensioni il suo fatturato è in crescita e la qualità dei suoi pezzi è apprezzata universalmente, tanto che quelli più particolari sono esposti nei musei di design di tutto il mondo.

We are talking about Vittorio Livi that in his glassmaker is standing over a glass stool; the scene was captured by his friend photographer and was published on the newspapers. He started to project the machines for the production working the glass like a piece of marble and after a few time he began collaborations with artists and designers. Each Fiam product has a label of the logo of the company and has a code that identify when, how and who has produced that object. Although this is a medium company, its turnover has grown in years and the quality of its pieces it's universally appreciated. In fact the most particular products are show in the museum of design of all over the world.
